Stroke Neurology

Piedmont Medical Center is a Joint Commission Accredited Primary Stroke Center with American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines-Stroke® Gold Plus and Target Stroke Achievement Award. This certification recognizes our medical professionals’ utilization of best practices to achieve long-term success in improving our patients’ health outcomes.

Time is critical in the treatment of stroke. With early intervention, our stroke team can help patients maintain their quality of life after a stroke, but a lot depends on how fast you get treatment.

Neurosurgery

If you suffer from a brain injury or a disease of the spine or nervous system, neurosurgery may be required to treat your condition. Neurosurgery is a branch of medicine that includes both operative and non-operative treatment of conditions that affect your nervous system.
