A variety of diagnostic services

Piedmont Medical Center offers a variety of diagnostic services in four convenient locations throughout York County. Early diagnosis is vital to treating disease. Our advanced technology provides an effective way to identify diseases in their early stages.

Our comprehensive diagnostic services include advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and CT Scan. Other diagnostic capabilities include PET scan, nuclear medicine, ultrasound testing, and x-ray. We are also proud to have been the first hospital in the region to offer digital 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis), advanced imaging technology that can help doctors better distinguish real abnormalities from superimposed tissue.

Amenities

The environment at our facilities has been designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. We understand that having medical tests can sometimes be stressful, so we work hard to pamper patients and make the process easier.

While amenities will vary by location, we are pleased to offer the following:

• Waiting area with magazines and large flat screen television
• Men’s and women’s changing rooms (wheelchair accessible) with secure storage lockers
• Ample free parking

What to Bring

• Orders from your doctor’s office with diagnosis
• Photo identification
• Insurance card (if applicable)
• Payment for deductible or co-payment (if required)

Insurance & Billing

As the patient, you are primarily and ultimately responsible for the bill for services you receive. Our Billing Department will bill your primary insurance carrier. It is your responsibility to provide us with accurate, current insurance information. You will receive a separate bill from the radiologist for his or her professional fee, which covers the cost of reading your study and interpreting the results.

Our imaging centers accept most major insurance plans. Please contact our Billing Department to learn more about accepted insurance plans. For information regarding your covered services and benefits, we suggest you contact your insurance carrier. Any co-pay or deductible that your insurance plan requires you to pay is due at the time of service. For billing inquiries call 803-329-6830.
