A hospital stay can be overwhelming, especially when a surgical procedure is involved. We perform a wide range of surgical procedures in three locations, and our team is prepared to take care of you and your loved one no matter what the surgery.

At Piedmont Medical Center - Rock Hill we have eight surgical suites and at Piedmont Medical Center - Fort Mill we have six surgical suites, plus both locations are comprised of large teams of board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and the technology and skill level to perform both inpatient and outpatient, general and specialized surgeries.

Minimally Invasive and Outpatient Surgery Options

It is perfectly normal to feel anxious and concerned when you or someone you love is required to undergo a surgical procedure. At Piedmont Medical Center, we want to help you feel less stress associated with surgical procedures by providing you quality surgical care.

We have a team of surgeons and technicians who use minimally invasive procedures that result in shorter hospital stays, allowing you to get back to the activities and people you love. For simpler procedures, we provide daycare surgical services that are done on an outpatient basis and don’t require a hospital admission.

For your added convenience and comfort, we offer pre-registration service. Use our Pre-Registration form to register for a minimally-invasive weight loss surgery or a single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS).

Preparing for Your Surgery

Your Pre-Operative Interview is where you will receive all of the information you need about your surgery. It’s also a good time to voice any questions or concerns. You’ll be given instructions to help you prepare and learn what you can expect after your procedure. It is very important that you attend this interview to avoid a delay or cancellation of your surgery.

Children under the age of 18 are required to bring a parent or guardian to the interview appointment.

Please bring the following information when you come for your pre-operative interview:

• Any paperwork from your doctor
• Medical history
• List of allergies and current medications
• Copy of insurance card
• Medicare or Medicaid card
• Social Security Number
