Thank you for choosing to deliver your baby at Piedmont Medical Center. Our birthing professionals look forward to working with you and your family to answer questions, prepare you for the big day or develop a birthing plan that not only meets your needs but exceeds your expectations for a beautiful delivery experience.

What to Bring

Clothing for You

  • Robe or gown
  • Socks and/or slippers
  • Going-home outfit (Remember, you may not fit into your pre-pregnancy clothes.)

Clothing for Baby

  • Going-home outfit
  • T-shirts
  • Booties
  • Receiving blanket

Electronics

  • Camera or video recorder
  • Check batteries, pack charger
  • Bring extra memory card, film
  • A laptop or tablet to send emails
  • Phone numbers, email addresses of loved ones of whom you’ll want to contact
  • Batteries/chargers for cell phone, laptop, camera or other electronic devices
  • Favorite CDs or videos

Personal Items

  • Toiletries: If you forget something, items are available for purchase in the gift shop.
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste
  • Deodorant

  • Makeup

We advise you to leave valuables including money, keepsake items and jewelry at home. Piedmont Medical Center cannot assume responsibility for loss of personal items.

Capturing Your Baby's First Moments: Newborn Photography

Piedmont Medical Center offers new parents the option to purchase memorable photos of your new baby during his or her first days. If you are planning on a newborn photo session during your stay, you may want to remember to pack a special outfit for you and your baby to wear during the session.

Ask your nurse for additional information including times, locations and what to expect during the photo session.
