Visitor Restrictions

Thank you for choosing Piedmont Medical Center for your healthcare needs. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are taking every precaution to keep you, your family, our staff and our community safe.

Visitor Guidelines - Effective March 10, 2023:

All visitors must:

  • Must be 12 years of age or older
  • Must be in good health (free of illness, cough, fever, etc.). Masks are not required
  • Wear a visitor badge
  • Comply with the hospital’s visitor standards at all times. Visitors may be asked to leave the facility if guidelines are not followed

General Hospital Visitation:

  • Visiting hours are from 8am to 8pm
    • Extended visitor hours are available until 10 pm, however visitors must enter through the below alternate entrance:
      • Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill- Visitors must enter through the Women’s Tower between 8 pm and 10 pm
      • Piedmont Medical Center Fort Mill- Visitors must enter through the Emergency Department between 8 pm and 10 pm
  • One overnight visitor may be permitted at the discretion of the care team

COVID-19 Patients:

  • Visitors of patients with COVID-19 must wear a mask while in the patient’s room
  • Visitors are not allowed to be at the bedside during aerosol generating procedures

Maternity Patients:

  • Labor and Delivery:
    • Up to 3 visitors at a time will be allowed, ages 12 and above
  • Post-Partum:
    • Up to 3 visitors at a time will be allowed, ages 12 and above except for siblings accompanied by a parent
  • Nursery and NICU:
    • Up to 2 designated visitors will be allowed

Emergency Department:

  • Two visitors will be permitted

Outpatient Areas- Imaging, Surgery, etc.:

  • Two visitors will be permitted
