ROCK HILL, SC., - Piedmont Medical Center recently named Tammy Moore as Chief Nursing Officer of Piedmont Medical Center – Fort Mill, a 100-bed hospital slated to open in September.

Most recently, Moore served as Chief Nursing Officer for Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center. Prior to that, she held a variety of roles for Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center including Director of Nursing for the Heart and Vascular Institute, Nurse Manager for Non-Invasive Cardiology and Assistant Manager for Invasive Cardiology.

She began her career as a high school biology teacher before deciding to attend nursing school and earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Winston Salem State University in Salisbury, North Carolina. Moore obtained her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte.

Piedmont Medical Center - Fort Mill, a 200,000 square-foot hospital, located at the intersection of S.C. Highway 160 and U.S. Highway 21, will offer a 12-bed full-service emergency department supported by board-certified physicians, six multi-specialty operating rooms, 10 Labor and Delivery rooms, a 10-bed ICU and 76-bed medical/surgical unit. The campus will include a 60,000 square foot medical office building to support physicians in primary care, obstetrics, surgery and cardiology.
