Piedmont Medical Center Welcomes Chief Nursing Officer Janet Bright
Feb 18, 2021Piedmont Medical Center welcomes Janet Bright, MHA, BSN, RN NE-BC as the hospital’s new Chief Nursing Officer.
In this role, Bright provides strategic leadership as the senior executive position responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions and services within Piedmont Medical Center. This includes responsibility for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practices at the hospital to ensure high quality and safe nursing care.
“Janet’s accomplishments and experiences have allowed her to become an instant asset to our hospital,” said Mark Nosacka, Piedmont Medical Center CEO. “We are all looking forward to the collaborative advancements we will achieve in the days and weeks ahead.”
Prior to joining Piedmont Medical Center, Bright served as Vice President and Market Chief Nursing Officer at Novant Health in Winston-Salem, NC. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, followed by a Master of Health Administration degree from Pfeiffer University.
“During my years as a staff nurse, I was lucky enough to have great leaders and mentors in my departments,” shared Bright. “Seeing how much they cared about serving our patients and teams showed me the importance of leadership in the healthcare setting and ignited in me a desire to step into these roles. I am very excited to have the opportunity to share my experiences here at Piedmont Medical Center. Mentoring and developing high performing leaders and teams is what I love doing, as well as partnering with our physicians and support service leaders to deliver excellent care to our patients and community.”
Together with her husband Rick, Bright has two adult daughters and five grandsons.
