Jun 25, 2019

Piedmont Medical Center is pleased to announce that it donated 52,381 servings of cereal to three nonprofit organizations that serve residents of York County: Pilgrim’s Inn, the Children’s Attention Home and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, during its Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive, which ran from June 7 to June 14.

“The donations we collected during our Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive will help provide a healthy breakfast to local children and adults struggling with hunger,” said Mark Nosacka, chief executive officer of Piedmont Medical Center. “Good nutrition is essential to good health and I appreciate the support of our staff and community in this effort.”

In the U.S., one in six children don’t get the food they need to be healthy. Piedmont Medical Center partnered with Rinehart Realty, Rock Hill School District, Epps Orthodontics, York County Sheriff’s Office, York Electric Co-op, and CMPD Freedom Division for this year’s cereal drive.
