Amy Munoz named Market Director of Women’s Services for Piedmont Medical Center

Piedmont Medical Center is proud to announce Amy Munoz, MSN, RNC-OB, LSSGB as the Market Director of Women’s Services for Piedmont Medical Center. Munoz oversees the day-to-day operations of women and baby services at Piedmont Medical Center Rock Hill and Piedmont Medical Center Fort Mill. In this role, she is responsible for operations in labor and delivery, postpartum care, focusing on strategic growth in women’s services. and providing staff management techniques to create a safe and high-quality care environment for women and infants.

Munoz comes to Piedmont Medical Center from Banner Deb Webb Medical Center in Sun City, Arizona where she served as the director of Women and Infant Services. From starting her career as a charge nurse with laboring patients, to being in several leadership roles including clinical manager and nursing supervisor of labor and delivery, Munoz has more than 20 years of experience in women’s services. In her years of nursing and leadership she helped develop a 14-million-dollar nursery expansion to elevate care, provided mentoring for nursing, served as the chairperson for the OB Steering Committee with Tenet Health, and is an Affiliate Member of Phoenix OB-GYN Society.

Munoz earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and master’s in nursing leadership from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
