Piedmont Medical Center Neurologist and Local Stroke Survivor Team Up to Spread Awareness about Stroke for National Stroke Month

Recently, Dr. Ryan Gianatasio, medical director of Piedmont Medical Center's Neuroscience Program, and Mr. Will Rivera, a stroke survivor and retired Rock Hill police officer, sat down with WCNC Charlotte to discuss how to recognize the symptoms of stroke, treatment options and more. Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States and each May National Stroke Month is designed to bring community awareness around this important health issue.
