A Comprehensive Approach to Care
The Piedmont Wound Care Center is a multi-disciplinary, outpatient facility that brings several specialties together to provide coordinated care to patients with chronic non-healing wounds. Chronic wounds are those that have not shown significant improvement in four weeks or complete healing in eight weeks.
Your personal physician is also a part of the interdisciplinary team at the Piedmont Wound Care Center by receiving regular updates from your Wound Specialist about the progress of your wound and you healing outcomes.
In addition to Piedmont Wound Care Center, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy may be used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of a variety of clinical wound conditions. Piedmont Medical Center continues to expand its services by recently adding a second chamber for our patients who may benefit from Hyperbaric Medicine.
Who is a Candidate?
Piedmont Wound Care Center offers hope for individuals with chronic or non-healing wounds of many different types, associated with:
- Diabetes
- Pressure
- Peripheral Vascular Disease or Ischemia
- Collagen Vascular Disease
- Trauma
- Other origin
