Chest pain accreditation

If you’re having chest pain, you want a hospital with the capabilities and expertise to tell you if your heart is the cause. And if a blocked artery in your heart is the source of your pain, you want a hospital where doctors can take immediate steps to open that artery and minimize heart damage.

The national Society of Chest Pain Centers has granted Piedmont national accreditation as a Chest Pain Center with a special designation (“PCI”) recognizing our ability to take interventional steps.

Piedmont’s Heart and Vascular Center includes three cardiac catheterization laboratories where angioplasty and stenting are performed, two operating rooms devoted to open heart surgery, a 20-bed cardiovascular telemetry unit for monitoring patients, an eight-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit, and a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program.
