Not just one, but two surgical centers give your family access to a comprehensive list of surgical procedures with the flexibility of inpatient and outpatient care. Our on-site surgical center, Piedmont Surgery Center, offers eight surgical suites. A large team of board-certified physicians and registered nurses provide the technology and skill level to perform general and specialized surgeries including advanced cardiac care. Our free-standing facility, Carolina Surgical Center, provides convenient, cost-effective outpatient surgery for your family. With a dedicated team of physicians, registered nurses and support staff, the Center is well equipped for a high level of care in both general and specialized surgeries. Your Pre-Operative Interview On the day of your appointment, come to: Carolina Surgical Center 198 South Herlong Avenue Or (Physician will specify) Piedmont Surgical Center Patients should report to the Admitting Desk at 222 South Herlong Avenue Children must come with parents for this interview. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian with you to sign the necessary forms. The Anesthesiologist will talk to you about your anesthesia. A nurse will explain what you should do to prepare for surgery and after surgery. You will receive instructions about arrival time, and what to do the day of surgery. Necessary tests will be done during this visit. If you do not come for this interview your surgery could be delayed or cancelled.

Things to avoid for 24 hours after your surgery - Do not drive a car
